Flights to Iceland
When organising their flights, most of our volunteers will need to add one day at the start and end of the placements to allow time for the bus journey to and from Thórsmörk. The Thórsmörk buses leave Reykjavik early in the morning on the placement start day and return to Reykjavik in the afternoon/evening of the placement finish day. Due to changing road and river crossing conditions in the Thórsmörk area, delays to scheduled bus times are possible. A full list of airlines operating services to Iceland’s Keflavik airport can be found on their website. We recommend comparing prices and booking tickets early.

Please note that there are limited bus connections to Seyðisfjörður and that it will take a day to travel from the port to Reykjavik or Thórsmörk .
